Please note - Yoga With Sky is currently taking on a lighter class load as she transitions back into work after birthing her second baby. In the meantime, Ashtika will be running our Prenatal Yoga Classes. Sky will return to Prenatal Yoga in Spring 2026.

Prenatal Yoga with Ashtiika

These slower-paced, nurturing classes blend gentle flow, stretching, strengthening, restorative yoga, and breathwork—with special attention to pelvic floor health and mindful connection. After class, we come together to share tea and connect with other parents—because community, connection, and shared experience are such powerful parts of this journey.

Feel free to bring a yoga mat, a mug for tea, and any props like a blanket, blocks, or a pillow to make yourself comfortable.

Each class is designed to support you through all stages of pregnancy by easing common discomforts, preparing your body for birth, and helping you feel more connected to yourself and your growing baby.

We focus on nervous system regulation through breath awareness, mindful movement, and meditation—tools that can support you during pregnancy, during birth, and in the months that follow. Sound healing and grounding practices are also woven in to bring a deep sense of peace to your body and mind, and for your growing tiny human! 

Every body and every pregnancy is different. These classes honour that. You’re always encouraged to listen to your body and make the practice your own—whether that looks like gentle movement or choosing to rest deeply in a supported, restorative posture. All options are welcome, and modifications are always offered. Everyone is welcome. I’m here to support you in finding what works best for you.

Thank you for being here. My name is Ashtiika. I'm a mother and yoga teacher whose journey into prenatal yoga began during my own pregnancy. Since then, I’ve been honoured to support other parents and families through prenatal, baby & me, kids, and family yoga.
I’m honoured to hold space for collective healing and growth. I truly believe in the power of community, connection, and co-regulation—and how transformative it can be just to be together in a supportive space. I warmly invite you to join in reconnecting with yourself and with others, in a space that is open, loving, and grounded in care.
I specialize in therapeutic yoga designed to support those experiencing chronic discomfort and physical limitations. With a deep understanding of the human body, I focus on supporting the body’s natural healing abilities through gentle, mindful yoga practices.
I integrate my training in somatic therapy, sound healing, breathwork, and hypnotherapy to create grounding, supportive spaces for self-care and healing. I believe there’s no single path for everyone—my role is to walk beside you as you reconnect with your own wisdom. I’m simply here to support you and remind you that you’re not alone.
Off the mat, I’m usually exploring nature with my son or dancing barefoot on the earth. One day, I dream of living on a little farm in the country—but for now, I’m humbly grateful to be building community here in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.

Who am I you ask? I am Sky. Having changed directions so many times I now understand the need for road signs. My personal yellow brick road didn’t lead to Oz but rather it took me through some interesting twists and turns. Through my journey, I’ve held hands with the scarecrow and have tasted her fear. I’ve worked alongside the dead, and the dying. I’ve seen the mind in all its glory fight courageous battles and tell its own horror tales. I’ve seen it destroy itself and conquer all else. I’ve learned there is no magical recipe for life, but rather a series of tools, implemented if you will, that can help you navigate the street signs thrown in your path, empowering you to live your best life. With these tools, I teach others how to live a balanced life, whether that by alleviating stress, chronic pain, or navigating the adjustments of the body, mind and soul  as one goes through their pregnancy/birthing/parenting journey. 
My experiences and certifications include: A B.S. in Anthropology and B.A. in Psychology from Southern Methodist University. Additionally, I am a Holistic Nutritionist (CNP) and a 500-hour certified Tantric Hatha Yoga and Meditation trained at Zuna Yoga in Bali Indonesia. When I became pregnant I furthered my teaching and knowledge to prenatal yoga and postnatal yoga so I could support myself and my daughter throughout our journey. Since then, it has inspired me to support other humans going through their own journey, so I can hold that space for them!  
These holistic ingredients combined with motherhood have given me a unique lens which has led to the creation of Sky Yoga & Wellness.
