FAQsCan I bring my baby?
While we want this to be as kid free as possible, we also know with really itty bitty babies, that is a little harder. We welcome babies in arms (non-mobile). Unfortunately, we are not able to have mobile children join us as we do not have the space and it may distract from the event and other attendees. What should I wear? Whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to have fun! Some activities may include paint etc, so just be mindful of what activity we are doing when getting dressed. Is parking available? Yes, there is plenty of free parking. You will see signs saying "1 hour parking" but this is not enforced as per the property owners. About Your Facilitators
A Perfect Partnership in Motherhood
When Jen and Karlee were navigating their first postpartum experiences and maternity leaves, they sought a community where they could connect with others and enjoy activities with their babies. Their paths led them to Bellies Community Space at the Kinship Postpartum Group, run by Samantha. It was here that Jen and Karlee met and quickly formed a lasting friendship.
Their bond blossomed into a larger community, attracting many other moms. This experience, along with recognizing the lack of support and resources for parents beyond the initial postpartum period, inspired them to create The Friendly Moms Podcast. Jen and Karlee, who connected over their own mental health challenges, felt compelled to share their stories to support and uplift others. Through this journey, they discovered the profound impact that finding mom friends can have on one's postpartum experience.
When Samantha envisioned expanding Bellies Community offerings to support moms beyond the immediate postpartum phase and into motherhood, she knew exactly who to partner with. Jen and Karlee embody the mission of Bellies Community Space, and we are excited to continue this journey with these inspiring Friendly Moms.
The need for community doesn’t end when maternity leave does, and together, we look forward to fostering connections and providing support for all stages of motherhood.
